ÀṢÀCREATIVE HOUSE

Our story

Why we exist

Asa Creative House exists because African culture, presented properly, is not a niche interest. It is one of the great live experiences in the world. Too often it reaches America as a costume, a theme night, or a footnote. We present it the way it deserves: in seasons, in depth, by the people who carry it.

We are a nonprofit that runs like a business. Ticket sales, market fees, academy tuition, sponsorships, and grants fund the work, and the artists, cooks, designers, teachers, and crews who make it happen are paid clearly. Culture should build income for the people who carry it, not just applause.

Where we start

Nigeria first, Yoruba and Igbo

We begin with Nigeria, with Yoruba and Igbo seasons first, because you start from home and you start with depth. From there, the house grows the way its audience asks it to: other African nations and other cities, chosen by the people who recommend them.
